Privacy Policy
Your trust matters. Here is a plain-language summary of what Gyedo collects, why, and the control you have over it.
What we collect
To match you well and keep you safe, we collect the details you add to your profile (name, birth date, gender, photos, bio, voice note, prompts and lifestyle tags), your discovery preferences (who you want to see, age range and search distance), your approximate location (city and coordinates), and basic account data such as your phone number and device push token.
How we use it
Your profile and preferences power our compatibility matching. Location is used only to show you people nearby within your chosen distance. We use your push token to send match, message and safety notifications. We never sell your personal data.
Who can see your profile
Only people you have been matched with can see your full profile. There is no public browsing — your photos, bio and voice note stay private to your matches. Pausing your profile hides you from matching entirely.
Safety features
When you use the Safety Gate, the trusted contact you nominate receives their name and phone number only for the purpose of check-in alerts around a date. They are never shown your matches or messages.
Data retention
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account we begin a soft-deletion and permanently remove your profile, matches and messages after a 30-day grace period.
Your rights
You can view and edit your profile at any time, adjust your discovery preferences in Settings, pause your profile, or permanently delete your account from Settings → Delete account. You may also request a copy of your data by contacting us.
Payments
When premium subscriptions become available, payments are processed by the applicable app store (e.g., Google Play). We do not store your payment card details. The app store's privacy policy governs how your payment information is handled.
Children's privacy
Gyedo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
